Find, export, or delete Google Pay info

This article applies to:

  • Virtual account numbers you created through the Google Pay app or your bank's website or app. They feature the actual card art from your payment card and a virtual account number from your bank that you can see in the card details view.
  • Passes added to the Google Pay app.

You have control over your Google Pay data. You can export a copy of or delete certain saved information you no longer want Google to save.

Find your Google Pay data

You can find your Google Pay data online at pay.google.com, on the Google Pay app, and at myactivity.google.com.

  • Transaction information: To see transactions made with your Virtual Account Number in stores or online, go to the Google Pay app. To see all other transactions, go to the Google Pay app or pay.google.com.
  • Payment methods, transit passes, loyalty cards, gift cards, and offers: Find some information relating to these items on the Cards tab of the Google Pay app and some information on pay.google.com.

Stop or start using data to personalize content

Stop or start using Location History

Information about your mobile device's background location allows the Google Pay app to notify you when you can use Google Pay. This feature gives you helpful information like where you can use your saved payment and loyalty cards. You can control when Google Pay collects your Location History at any time.

To start or stop sharing your Location History with Google:

  1. On your computer, go to myaccount.google.com.
    • If you haven't already, sign in to your Google Account.
  2. Under "Privacy & personalization" choose Manage your data & personalization.
  3. Under "Activity controls," choose Location History.
  4. Click the toggle to turn your Location History on or off.
    • If you turn this off, you won't be able to use features of some products.

Delete your activity or data

Delete Google Pay activity from your Google Account

To delete transaction activity related to a specific payment method, delete the payment method from Google Pay. You may also need to delete related information from myactivity.google.com.

Wipe all activity

Important: Deleting specific Google Pay activity won't delete all of your Google Pay data or stop new data from being collected. To delete all Google Pay data, you'll need to opt out of Google Pay.

  1. Go to your Google Account service deletion page and sign in to your account.
  2. Next to Google Pay, click DeleteDelete.
  3. Check the boxes.
  4. Click Delete Google Pay.

Delete specific activity

Tip: Though you can delete certain information from appearing on your profile, Google retains some information for regulatory purposes.

To delete specific events including payments in stores, in apps, and on the web, requests for money sent to or received by friends or family, and transaction attempts (taps) from your past Google Pay activity:

  1. Go to myactivity.google.com.
    • If you haven't already, sign in to your Google Account.
  2. Find the date the activity occurred.
  3. Under the activity you want to delete, choose Details.
  4. Choose MoreMoreand then Delete.

Important: These steps delete information from your Google Account. Deleting tap activity will also delete in-store taps from your device. To delete other data from your device, go to the next section.

Delete payment methods, loyalty cards, transit passes, or offers

Export your Google Pay data

You can export a copy of your Google Pay data for your personal records.

  1. On your computer, go to takeout.google.com.
    • If you haven't already, sign in to your Google Account.
  2. Make sure "Google Pay" is turned on. You can turn off any Google apps or services you don't want to export data from.
    • To make changes to the type of data you want to export, click the down arrowDown arrow.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose your archive format.
  5. Click Create archive.
